CHANDIGARH, December 1

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has given a call for a two-day strike from December 16 to protest against the proposed privatisation of two state-owned lenders.

"We will contact all Central Trade Unions, political parties and Members of Parliament to extend their support to our agitation and take up the issue with the government," said Sanjiv K Bandlish, convener, UFBU. — TNS
